OLD TWIST-OUTS. (I LOVE IT)

Let's just say that this weekend I had a blast. I went to the Juvenile Diabetes Walk to support my grandmother and my little brother who both have diabetes. Afterwards I went to the Capital Gay Pride Parade in DC with my friends Dora and Fatima. Then that night we showered and changed and partied at Adams Morgan. this was the stages of my hair for the entire day. I received a lot of compliments. My friends are natural and I hadn't seen them in so long so of course they asked me a lot of questions pertaining to my hair like: what products do you use? how do you maintain your hair, etc... gotta love my friends. I actually just met Dora and today we chilled at Friday's (my fiance' was our server) and then we chilled at the National Harbor. This has been one of the best weekends I have had in SO long. I really appreciate those I have recently met and came across. Now I'm chilling with my roommate and we decided to have a sleepover in the living room and watching movies... but below are some pics I took this weekend. Instagram really made me appreciate life even more. Moments you may only have memories of but no photographs. LOVE LIFE AND TAKE PICTURES! The best app that anyone could ever have on their phone. Hope you enjoy the pictures of my hair!

I HEART TWIST-OUTS!

i think i may be making twist outs my new do for a while. its so easy to manage and its crazy because the older it gets, the better it looks.. i love doing them on blow-dried hair (for length) and as long as i twist them back up for maintenance with a little shea butter on my fingers and wrap my hair, i'm good. just take them out in the morning, shake and go! what can i say, i love my twist out!

SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY SORHORS!

NATURE'S GATE [ALOE VERA]

This is by far the best product i've ever used on my hair. i do a lot of co-washing so i have a lot of the aloe vera shampoo left. regular price from MOM's Organics, $6.99 but i got the henna conditioner on sale for $4.49. i'll be taking out my twist soon, sometime this week so i will give a review on it. possibly a video. this product definitely brings out my curl definition and makes it easier to comb thru. i promise you'll love it!

100% NATURAL HENNA! [LUSH PRODUCT]

i WILL be trying this product soon. i'm actually anxious about it because i've always wanted to color my natural hair but scared of the chemicals in your average her color. super excited! $24.95 for a bar. it comes in 4 colors. the color i will be trying is ROUGE (like a burnt orange).. my hair is really dark so i felt as though the brighter the henna, the better the result. cant wait!

LUSH REVIEW: CATASTROPHE COSMETIC

this product is heaven but it does have its pros and cons. PRO: soft skin, less oil during the day (even with the heat, humidity, and all) CON: left major residue on my face. it took about 2-3 washes to get it off. i have a lot left. i definitely would use it again... as if i have a choice.. i already paid for it. lol.

$6.95 US only at your local LUSH store..

FYI: THIS PRODUCT MUST REMAIN REFRIDGERATED AND CANNOT BE PURCHASED OFF THE WEBSITE.

LUSH: MY $81 HAUL

sooooooo i went on a big haul at LUSH. its all well worth it.. my skin is breaking out so i went out anD bought:

Angels on Bareskin Facial Cleanser, Jasmin and Henna Fluff-Ease Hair Moisturizer, Sexy Peel Soap, Honey I Washed the Kids Soap, Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask, Ro's Argan Body Conditioner, Geo Phyzz Bath Bomb, Butterball Bath Bomb, Stepping Stone Foot Scrub, and they also gave me a sample of the Herbalism Facial Cleanser.

Thus far i've used the ro's argan body conditioner, sexy peel soap, honey i washed the kids, geo phyzz bath bomb, and the herbalism facial cleanser. i love them all!

i've only used the facial cleanser twice and i can see my breakout clearing up fast. i recommend that product to everyone and in fact i may go out and get the full jar. they gave me a sample and i just thought i'd try that out. its excellent.

the ro's argan body conditioner works wonders, especially if you're like me and are too lazy to put on lotion after showering/bathing and have dry skin. all you do is wash and rinse your body as normal and on your damp body (while still in the shower) rub a light amount on legs/arms and rinse again. it feels great! i'm definitely going back for a large container of that product.

the geo phyzz bath bomb is good for relaxing sore muscle in the bathtub. it smells great. it is recommended to fill the bathtub first and then to drop the bomb in and watch it fizz away before getting into that bathtub. i'm having severe back pain so it was okay. i was well relaxed after my bath.

the sexy peel soap is great! it smells just like lemons. it is used as a bathroom soap at the sink. it makes your hands squeaky clean so you can tell how clean your hands are. the honey i washed the kids soap is good on the skin. its not too harsh and thats what i like most about it. some soaps can make my skin extra dry before i'm able to get out of the shower. very mild. i would definitely buy those two soaps again.

MORE REVIEWS TO COME. i still have a lot of products i had not tried yet. i just bought all of this yesterday at the mall.
